The People Behind The Show

About Us

We are two people -one radio/tv journalist and one writer/producer -who have listened to a lot of podcasts but weren’t happy with the choices.  So, we decided to go on a search for content we liked.  We’ve found, and continue to find, amazing writers with both fictional or non-fictional work that deserves to be heard.

Vicki Halliday

Vicki won the most books read in one summer award when she was 8.

92 books.  She’s been reading voraciously ever since when not producing tv commercials, working in political campaigns, shooting grouse in Scotland and walking on the beach in Venice, California.

Well, there was that time in Terlingua, Texas when it was just too hot to even pick up a book, but it didn’t last long.

Passionate about finding great first novels, she’s now shifted direction to finding the best unpublished fiction around and bringing it to podcast form.

Jamie Paige

Jamie Paige submitted her first writing for publication when she was in junior high. She went on to write a play her senior year in high school, and later in life turned her passion for writing into reporting.

As a journalist, Jamie tackled many tough stories and topics. For many years, Jamie worked undercover to expose the practices of puppy mills in the midwest. Her work later led to legislation that would regulate those mills. Jamie has worked in broadcast and digital news for almost 20 years—and, now, carries her passion for news stories into podcasts.

Whitney is also a single mother with three kids, including ridiculously wild twins who climb everything and leave uncapped markers everywhere they go.  She runs a Facebook Group for people healing through divorce, published a book this year called “You Got This: Healing Through Divorce” and is about to launch an online intensive course with coaching to help people heal through divorces with toxic exes.

 Judy Jean Kown

Judy Jean Kwon grew up in a Korean-American video store where she fell in love with the art of filmmaking and story-telling.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, she is a daughter of Korean immigrants. She split her time between Korea and America as a child and not feeling like she belonged anywhere, “one foot in the east and one foot in the west”, she turned to the music and the arts. She started acting when she was 17. After 5 years of acting training, she went on to a successful commercial career, breaking the mold for Asian-American actors by taking on non-stereotypical roles.   She’s acted in commercials, modeled for the likes of Herb Ritts, Steven Miesel and had her feature film “MILFriend” screened at Sundance.  She’s working on a docu-vlog series that deals with stress, anxiety and PTSD called “Heal X Create.”  Kwon’s mission is to give voice to the voiceless and tell stories of the underdogs that are ignored. She is passionate about women’s and immigrant rights.

David Lowe

The story of David Lowe’s life is quite peculiar. He started as a doctor in nuclear physics and invented a dosimeter still used in oncology.

His strong desire to have an artistic career led to a curious resume. From TV host to illustrator, photographer, actor, composer, director, author.

Molly McKinley

Molly McKinley grew up in a freakish, bookish, writerly family, and has been a hungry reader and relentless writer since she was very young. RUTHIE AND DAVE IN THE LAND OF XEMWENCIO sprouted from seeds planted in the bedtime stories she told her children when they were small (until she was hoarse and often fell asleep before they did). In addition to this novel, she has recently completed another work of fiction for adults, BACK TO POINT A, and is busy with a new one. She lives in Santa Fe, NM.
